A Limerick

I was listening to the Sports Animal on the way home from work today and they started talking about poetry and then limericks. So I got the idea to write a limerick. Let me know what y'all think.

One day I had to take a really big dump
So I went to my throne and set on my rump
Except for the smell
Which would make a dead man yell
You'd think I was a gray-haired stump

Valentine's Day!!

Well, today is the 3rd Valentine's Day that I'll have with the most wonderful woman in the world - my wife. She is the most awesome woman I've ever met - I am so glad that we met, and that my stupid jokes didn't send her running for the hills. Anyways, she has class tonight - so we're going to celebrate tomorrow night. I'm pretty excited about what I've got planned. I've been dying to tell someone, so this is what we're going to do:

Dadgum Blazers!

The Blazers blew a 4-0 lead last night. What a pathetic performance. They managed to tie the game back up with 49 seconds left to get a point, but then lose the shootout (par for the course). To make it worse, whoever was running pointstreak entered a goal on the blazers 3rd shooter - so I thought we won, then tied after 6 - but we lost!! It was like listening to Bob Barry calling an OU football game. But I'll give the pointstreak guy a break since he's a rookie - I heard the yahoo that used to do that retired (which was probably for the best - he was causing some methane "issues" in the press box). Well, we still got a point and the Wichita Blunder lost - if we can beat them up there tonight I guess it will work out.

This is my first entry on my first blog. My wife convinced me to do one of these things, she just said "it's like a diary!" (she was joking - I've never written anything in a diary). I guess I should say some things about myself. I'm an electronics engineer which automatically makes me at least a little nerdy. I'm married to a wonderful woman (and I'm not saying that because she's sitting right here). We have a 5 year old daughter (who I'm adopting), a 7 month old son, a dog, and a cat. I play golf, ice hockey, and ping pong (or should I say table tennis?). Besides my sports, my other hobbies are reading, playing computer games, and wargames - especially Advanced Squad Leader (which my wife will tell you is the best wargame ever made!). I'm also a big football fan (BOOMER FREAKIN' SOONER!!), and hockey (GO BLAZERS!). I also like to use parenthesis (I bet you didn't guess that). I got my screen name from when I used to be an off-ice official. I started out keeping track of the plus/minus for the visiting team. If anyone wants to know what that means, let me know. I suppose if you care about it you already know what it is (one of the more meaningless stats in hockey). I'm going to post this before my computer locks up (there's a video driver that hits an endless loop every now and then - damn those Radeon video cards!).
